till the Cucumbers are soft - season it with Pepper & Salt and keep the Sauce pan close cover'd all the time - the Duchess of Bedford An Oyster Pye One Pint of Oysters bearded - the Liquor saved to put in the Pye with some veal gravy - one pound of Veal cut into small pieces - season it pretty high with pepper & Salt - then put a layer of Veal, ditto of Oysters, till the dish is full, then fill it with the Oyster Liquor; and Gravy - you may make a Chicken Pye the same - To Pot Salmon Bone three pound of Salmon, take the Skin off season it in the Pot it is to be baked in - let it stand 24 hours before you put it in the oven - put in an ounce of Salt an ounce of black pepper half a quarter of an ounce of Mace ten Cloves & a pound & half of Butter clarified when it is baked enough press it close
