Gooseberry Jelly - Mrs Coates Take ripe Gooseberries - and put them in a Jar - set it in boiling water as you do for Currant Jelly - pour off the Clear through a Muslin - Boil the Juice alone about ten Minutes quick and Strein it well - Have ready a good half Pound of Loaf Sugar to a Pint of Juice - Powder it very fine and roll it - put it in the oven and Make it quite Hot - and put it when hot to the Juice and boil both together five Minutes - If you wish to put in Moulds to turn out boil it a few Minutes longer - Receipt Dr Heberden Half an ounce Chamomile Flowers - powder'd fine quarter of an ounce beat Turkey Rhubarb powder'd quarter of an ounce of Ginger Powder'd. -
