thing is washing but coloured Prints or Paint - This used is excellent for Blankets a lather made in a Tub - a large one into which a woman shoud get and tread then her feet. wrung out immediately - pulled out and well shook and dried out as quick as possible in the open air - an ounce & a half of Resin bruised shoud be added. Mary Stewarts Method of washing counterpanes - They must be put into Cold water, all the dirty spots well looked over, and soapd and well washed out, and then left in that water for all night - The next day they must be sossed in that water but not wrung but squeezed against the sides of the Tub and that dirty water poured from them. They must then be put in another lather made with cold water and boil'd soap and washed very well with the hands but not with a Jenny - and left in that lather till the next day - when they must be looked over to see if there are no dirty Spots - and they must then be put into perfectly clear cold water and well sossed - and this must be repeated every day till the water is perfectly clear in which
