In reply to your favor of the 24th [illegible] which was [illegible] in addition from M Wardroper [under?] date the 1st Instant I have merely to [assure?] you I shall be most happy to agree to any terms which you may with the [illegible] of an [illegible] friend [illegible] agree to, but in so doing I beg you to keep it in mind that I will not be subjected to [illegible] doings I should imagine that as the Legal Interest for Mercy has been reduced you cannot object to allow a diminution of Interest on the sum originally lent, and my husband having given up to you the whole of his Income to beg you the Interest [illegible]
