Saving...
till after supper. We then went up to the Opera house to the anniversary exercises. I feel wretched tired tonight. Saturday June 18th 1881. I cleaned up the parlor nicely this morning and took a rest in the afternoon. Mother went down town. Mr Cobb, Lowrey and Charlie Helmich started home today. Mr. Days brother came tonight. Sunday June 19th 1881. I helped get the dinner this morning and took a sleep in the afternoon before time to go to Charlie Ogles funeral at four oclock. I met Rob and Win at the church and we went from there down to Hatts where we met some of the boys that were invited there to supper. We had a jolly visit and came home about nine oclock. There was some rain about seven oclock and a prospect of a heavy storm as we came home.
