both the Pentzer boys. Mr Jackson and Henry Giesler and the Helmich boys ready to go away. Mr and Mrs Day were invited out to supper. Mr Stone with both the Day boys started at ten oclock. Rob and Mary Day went riding and Father and Mr Owens went over to Wins to play cards. I was tired enough to go to bed early. Thursday June 23rd 1881 When we got up this morning found the show tents over on the bottom opposite the house. Rob and I started to take Days folks to the depot. We found the train three hours late so we went down to the glass works and from there up town to see the show parade. It was noon before the train get started. When we got home found dinner ready. Mother had gone down to Hatts. They came back home in the afternoon and Win came too. John and Hatt stayed here all night. Lee and I went over in the buggy for the prep. Mr Owens started at six. He gave Mother and I each a lovely silk handkerchief
