Saving...
Wednesday July 6th 1881. Bridget did the washing this morning and I was busy about the work and the dinner. Mr Cole went away today and in the afternoon Mr Carney started with a gentleman friend of his who is here with him. Weather intensely warm. Mother was over to Hatts all the afternoon. I practiced a little for the first time this week. Thursday July 7th 1881 Bridget did our ironing this morning and Mrs C-- {Carney?} was washing. I had some calico things washed out for myself. Hatt came over in the morning and stayed all day. I felt wretched but sewed linin pants for Father. I practiced an hour in the afternoon and one in the evening. Mother walked over town with Hatt after supper. Weather warm as yesterday. I am glad we have no larger family.
