To preserve damsons without Sugar. Gather them when quite dry, put them into Jars and into a cool oven, and let them remain till the Sirup runs from them, - Let them stand in a cool dry place for three days - then pick off all the dry ones from the top, and pour boiling Suet over them - They must be kept in a cool dry place for use. Mrs Topp To Keep nuts. Gather them when perfectly ripe, and quite dry - put them into a heap till they have sweat a little - then put them into Jars with a slate over them, so as to exclude the air, and keep them in the cellar. Mrs. Topp To kill Ticks on Dogs.
