To make Bishop. Take nearly one pint of water, to which add cloves, spice, cinnamon, mace&c &c and boil together slowly on the fire,-- When boiled add one bottle of port wine place it again on the fire and roast a seville orange with cloves stuck in it--put white sugar in a bowl and pour on it the above when hot, stir it well and & put in the orange -- Having squeezed the juice of two seville oranges therein, and pour'd the above in the Bowl, light a piece of paper & set fire to the wine & burn it for one minute or two -- Recd.
