Ale Cup or cider cup. A quart of mita ale - a glass of White wine, a glass of brandy - one of Capillaire - the juice of a Lemon - a roll of the peel, nutmeg grated on the top, & a sprig of Brage or Balm - Cider cup is the same only substituting the cider for the ale - Dr. Kitchen Put two ounces of cream of tartar, & the juice & paring of two lemon, into a stone jar;- pour on them seven quarts of boiling water stir & close. - When cold, sweeten with Loaf Sugar & Straining it bottle & cork it tight - add in bottling half a pint of rum to the whole quantity.
