of oil of Rho 24 For the Hooping Cough A little oil of Amber a little Rum and a hood of Garlick bruised & Anoint the small of the back mix it fresh every night 25 Excellent receipt for Colds & Fevers Half an ounce of pearl barley boiled in a quantity of Water till half of it be reduced 1/2 oz of powdered [speomacet?] and half an ounce of Nitre drops sweetened with genuine [illegible] honey take two table spoonfuls three times a day this seldom fails of relief to old or young
