Saving...
Monday June 28th 1880 I did a large washing and baked two cakes before dinner. In the afternoon Aunty Walker and Esther with Mrs Bivins and two boys were here. Rob and I went to town after supper in the phaeton and it was bed time when we got home. Weather splendid. Tuesday June 29th 1880 Lee took Mother and Hatt to the valley to spend the day and Father took Aunty Walker home. Rob, Ott and I worked very hard moving things out of the house and the men partly tore it down during the afternoon. When the folks came home at night they were greatly surprised. Wednesday June 30th 1880 They finished tearing down the house by noon and began to dig the cellar in the afternoon. We girls worked all day at the house cleaning up stairs. We were grieved to hear from Charlie today that James Forney is dead and will be buried today.
