Monday July 12th 1880 We soon finished the quilting this morning and while Hatt finished binding them I began cutting carpet rags. We worked at them all the rest of the day. Two hours practice. Tuesday July 13th 1880 I cut carpet rags all day and the rest of the folks sewed at them. Mrs Middleton was here all day, to help us. Two hours practice. Wednesday July 14th 1880 I went to town to take my music lesson. I got home by ten oclock and cut carpet rags till supper time. I practiced an hour in the evening. Mrs Middleton here again. Thursday July 15th 1880 I did a large washing this forenoon. Mr J Stinson and his little boy were here for dinner they had been up to Cousin Ellas wedding yesterday. Mrs Wilde was over in the afternoon. I cut carpet rags again today.
