Spider Net Knitting Cast on an equal number of stitches, bring the wool forward every S. and take the S on the needle as if for plain knitting, but instead of letting the wool pass back to its place before you knit the S pass it between the needles and knit it behind - 2nd row plain knitting taking 2 S's together all the row - The Adelaide Stitch Cast on an uneven number of stitches according to the size of pin - Two pins only are used as it cannot be knit round - knit a plain row Then knit 1st S bring the wool forward under the pin, slip next S and take 2 S's together bring the wool forward again; slip next S. and knit 2 together & son on, bringing the wool forward & taking off the last S without knitting ever row is the same - To form an Edging - Cast on 7 stitches 1st row slip a stitch knit 2 put the thread forward, take 2 together put the thread twice round needle & take 2 2nd - Knit 2 pearl 1 knit 2 - put thread forward then take 2 knit 1 3rd Slip 1 knit 2 put thread forward take 2 knit 3 making 1 before the last of the three 4th Knit 6, thread forward take 2 knit 1 5th Slip 1 knit 2 thread ford take 2, thread twice over. take 2 thread twice over take 2 6th Knit 2 pearl 1 knit 2 pearl 1 knit 2. thread forwd take 2 knit 1 7th Slip 1 knit 2 thread forwd take 2 knit 6 8th Knit 8 thread forwd take 2 knit 1 9th Slip 1 Knit 2 thread forwd take 2 thread twice round needle & then take 2. 3 times over
