To Restore Dry Walnuts When beginning to shrink and dry, let them lie (in their shells) in a solution of salt and water for twelve or fourteen hours, as they may require it, & it will restore them to their original freshness. Do this about once a month if you wish to keep them, for if too far shrivelled they will not plump out again
