Knitted Cable Pattern Cast on 20 stitches - knit 1 row 2nd row - knit 4, knit 4 more, turn back & purl those 4, knit & purl for 17 rows which forms a cable - drop the 4 stitches & putting the needle behind the cable put 4 on from the other needle & then replace the 4 stitches of the cable on the needle & knit to the end 3rd row knit 4, purl 12, knit 4 - 4th row knit the whole row - 5th row knit 4, purl 4 which is the beginning of another cable, knit & purl alternately these 4 stitches for 17 rows - drop them as before - put the needle in front put on 4 & pick up cable - purl 4 knit 4 -
