Agnes Milner has told me her remedy. Get some precipitate powder at the chemist's it is sold in 1 1/2 packets. Mix the contents of one packet with a tablespoonful of lard (it is poison & will turn it pink). Rub the paste carefully into the head between the partings at night & then in the morning wash the head & comb out the hair thoroughly & brush it well. The paste will probably not have to be applied a second time. this remedy will prevent your having to cut the hair short.
