Saving...
Friday July 11th 1879 Mother went to the valley today. Hatt washed and ironed both some. I worked all day up in the north-east room washing the walls and ceilings. Weather intensely warm. Saturday July 12th 1879 I began to clean the north-east room today. We concluded to paper the rooms and Hatt and I washed a carpet before dinner. In the afternoon we remodeled the hall carpet and walked over town before supper. Rob went with us he selected a carpet at Lightners for our room and paper at Mahonnas for four rooms up stairs. In the evening we took a ride. Sunday July 13th 1879. I helped do up the work and went to church in the forenoon. It was terribly warm. I tried to sleep in the afternoon but was not very successful. Win came over late in the afternoon. I read a little in the evening and went to bed early.
