Monday July 14th 1879 We sewed and put down the dining room carpet before noon. Rob went to town and got our carpet and the paper we sewed some on our carpet and partly papered the southeast room. Tuesday July 15th 1879 We finished papering the room we began last night and did the south east one today. We took the carpet from one room and sewed it to fit the one across the hall. John was our [tonight?] Wednesday July 16th 1879 We put the things in the two east rooms the first thing this morning and partly papered the southwest room before dinner besides washing and white washing that ceiling. I went right to town after dinner and got paper for our room and after finishing up the southwest room we began our rooms. Win came over this evening on an errand. The boys were busy with the hay today. I was very tired tonight.
