Saving...
Saturday July 26th 1879 We girls helped do up the work this morning and then walked over to Mary Shafers to spend the day. Had a very pleasant visit and Lee came after us at four oclock. I helped get the supper after we got home and did up the work while mother and Rob went to ride. I worked all the day and a part of the evening on my pillow case. Sunday July 27th 1879 We got the work done up early and mother and Ott went to the valley to a basket picnic meeting. Rob went to church with me. We did not make a fire for dinner. And so I cooked warm supper. I read a little in the afternoon and took a nap. Mrs [Castor?] and Nellie were here in the evening. I went to bed early. Monday July 28th 1879 Rob + Ott, Hatt Alice Miller and I went to Aunt Emmas today we had just an splendid visit. Win was down there and she came home with us. It was after nine oclock when we got home. A good beginning for the first of the week.
