Saving...
Tuesday August 26th 1879 It was raining some this morning. I worked all the forenoon to patch socks for Rob to take to the farm where they were threshing. Just before noon Aunty Walker and Miss Wolf came they staid till about two oclock. Hatt is feeling badly today. I ironed all the afternoon. Mother went to town a little while. Mattie Fletcher came over here to invite Mother and I to spend tomorrow afternoon at her house to sew carpet rags. I had a long letter from [Corney?] tonight. Wednesday August 27th 1879 Mr + Mrs John Stinson came early this morning. I walked over town in the forenoon to get some groceries. I helped with the work till two oclock and then went with Win to the rag sewing. Hattie is feeling so much worse that we went for the doctor. Lee went with him to the valley to see Mary Anderson who is very sick and did not get back tonight. Weather rather pleasant. Win did not stop when we came from Fletchers but went on home.
