Saving...
Wednesday October 22nd 1879 I put out a large washing and cleaned up the house before dinner. In the afternoon I ironed and sewed a little in the evening. Weather windy and disagreeable. I had a letter from Lou [Rienes?] tonight. Thursday October 23rd 1879 I worked all the forenoon cleaning the rooms up stairs and Robs room. In the afternoon I went over town and paid some little bills I was oweing and got some flannel to make me a skirt. I helped get the supper over and went to bed. I was so very tired. Friday October 24th 1879 We expected Laura and Win over today. I got the house all cleaned up before eleven oclock. Then grandmother and Uncle Jacob came. [Illegible] the rest of the folks. We got dinner over and sat down to visit most the afternoon. Grandmother and Uncle went to the cemetery in the afternoon and then came back here to stay all night. We heard tonight that Uncle Robert was very sick.
