Wednesday December 11th 1879 I put in nearly the whole day getting ready for the sociable at the church tonight. I went over about five oclock and helped wait on the table. Win was over to our house all day and Rob and her with John and Hatt came over for oysters. Mr Mercer and Berlin arranged to come over next Sunday afternoon. We came home about nine oclock. Weather very cold. Thursday December 18th 1879 I was busy about the house all day. Mother was in town all the afternoon and Hatt was to Howe's. Lee went with me to town after supper and I went to prayer meeting. Friday December 19th 1897 We were very busy about the house all the forenoon. Rob and I went to the noon train for Mr. Lallants sisters. They came and we did nothing but visit in the afternoon. In the evening we all went to society Ott and Hatt went to the party at Aunt Linda's
