Monday, June 18th, 1883 Cleared up this morning, and has been a fine bright day, with breeze in the west. Came directly to the office and spent the forenoon writing and in consultation. Matt Owens came in this morning and I took him over to dinner. Worked in the office awhile, after dinner, then attended the Class day exercises in the Opera House. They were very good. At 5 o'clock, went home got the team "Charlie" and "Nellie" up and put on the new harness. Hitched to the double buggy and after supper, Iowa and Mary, Ott and I had a very pleasant ride. Stopped at the depot and [illegible] Judge Day. Home and spent a pleasant eve. A fine night, moonlight, but threatening. Tuesday, June 19th, 1883 Weather today altogether lovely, cool, bright and pleasant and a most glorious moonlight night. It has been a busy day. Spent the forenoon in attendance upon the graduating exercises of the Law Class. The exercises were short and very good. 4 of the speakers failing to "come on" and there was [unnecessarily?] hissing and groaning, on the part of disappointed members of the class. After dinner worked in office awhile, made load of $85.00 to Michael [Birms?]. Got shave and assisted in the decoration of the Ham's Hall for the Banquet tomorrow.Attended Alumni Business Meeting at 4 o'clock in [Zetagoltian?] Hall. Lou McKenzie [Ozias?] elected [Poetess?]. Got dispatch from Chas that he will be up in the morning. Dressed and attended the Alumni Exercises Oration by Jas G. Berryhill, and Poem by Ella Hamilton Iowa and I [illegible] Mary then attended the Presidents Reception, and came home tired out.
