Sun.Nov.18th.83 A most beautiful day. Did morning chores. Washed, dressed and read till dinner. Spent the afternoon pleasantly reading and walking about. Iowa and I attended M.E. Church. Rev. P.P. Ingalls preached an entertaining sermon on the character of St. John. Home and read. Ed Mc here to supper this eve. Mon. Nov 19th 83. Another fine day, but threatening tonight. Boys got in loads of wood from valley. Went out to Karn's and got colts, which had been trespassing. Chored this forenoon. Afternoon husked ten rows corn, which we hauled in this eve. Did chores and spent eve at home reading "Daniel Deronda". Peter [Fohner?] paid me $50 to be credited on his $95 note. Tuesday, Nov. 20th. 83. A plesant day, but threatening rain. The boys two loads of wood from the timber. Did up chores Came to town and did some work in office. Bot copy of "King John". Husked out a load of corn this afternoon, which we got into crib. Koza selected stock today. After supper, dressed, came to town and got shave. Mrs Gorton's "Literary Club" met with us this eve. About a dozen couples. Had music literary exercises, and discussion. Also splendid lunch. Everybody had a good time. I presided company dispersed at 11 P.M. Wed. Nov. 21st.83 Lee and I delivered 3 sucking calves to Koza this A.M. Wgt 1420 lbs@ 3 1/4 [illegible] We three boys husked load of corn before noon. Got to work after dinner but were stopped by the rain. Chored awhile. Came to town, Settled up meat a/c to date. Secured Ada's company for Fletcher's party. Recd 21 German Corp for father Ott to South West via Burlington. At home this eve.
