Fri. Feby. 1st, 1884. Weather pleasanter. Sick and confined to house. Sat. Feby. 2d, 1884. Dressed and came into the back part of the house today for the first time in 2 weeks Mrs Fletcher here. Sun. Feby 3d 1884. Spent most of the day in the back part of the house reading and conversing. Roast turkey for dinner. Mon. Feby. 4th, 1884. Feeling worse today and confined to my room. Tues. Feby 5th 1884. Some better today. Weather bad. Raining & freezing. Wed. Feby 6th 1884. Still sick. Mollie Stevens began boarding here today. Thurs. Feby 7th 1884. Somewhat better today. Weather moderating. Fri. Feby 8th, 1884. Confined to my room all day. Reading a little. Sat. Feby 9th 1884. In my room all day sick- We discharged Myron tonight. Sun. Feby 10th, 1884. Confined to my room. We had a number of callers today but I was unable to see any of them. Mon. Feby 11th, 1884. Sick and in my room all day. Weather wintry. Tues. Feby 12th, 1884. Still sick. Weather wintry- Snowing again. Wed. Feby. 13th, 1884. In my own rooms. Up and reading a little. Thurs. Feby 14th, 1884. Chas. up from Burlington on the early train to see me. Hattie and the children over. Fri. Feby 15th, 1884. Sick and in doors all day. Ott and Mother down to Aunt Em's tonight to a sociable. Sat. Feby 16th 1884. Confined to my room. Aunt 'Lib took dinner here.
