Mon. Mch.10th, 1884. Weather cloudy and warmer. Housed up all day. Lee 4 head of stock to the valley. Tues. Mch 11th 1884. Rain with thunder and lightening. A gloomy day. Wind and snow from N.W. this eve, and much colder. One of our fattening hogs died. Wed. Mch 12th 1884. Weather bright and cold. Went out to the barn this morning. Bal of day in doors. Thurs. Mch. 13th 1884 Am not so well today. In doors. Weather warmer. Friday. Mch. 14th. 1884 Weather bright but quite cool. Dr Moon was over this morning, and cupped me. Sat.Mch 15th, 1884. Weather bright warm and pleasant. Snow disaperaing rapidly. Hattie was over. I walked about out doors considerable today. Sun. Mch. 16th, 1884. A beautiful spring like day. Birds singing &c. Walked out on the poarch considerable. Mon.Mch17th, 1884. St. Patrick's Day. Ed stackman got start in wagon at noon for Union Co. He took "Shep" dog along. Weather rainy, and murky. Tues.Mch.18th,1884. Rain and mud intolerable. Indoors all day. Lee bought 10lbs corn of Chas. Holmes @ 50c. Wed. Mch.19th, 1884. Rain-mud-gloomy. Sale of Whitman property this afternoon. Whitman bid the property in for $12.00 Began reading "Porter's Elements of Intellectual Science" Thurs.Mch 20th, 1884. Rain & mud. Lee delivered 7 hogs to Goodrich at 5 1/2c. 4 of them mine=$37.75. Pd meat bill today.
