Mon.Mch.31st, 1884. Weather cloudy but quite spring like. Walked about out of doors considerable. Uncle Him Mc brought Grandmother up this eve. Tues. April 1st 1884. Warm and spring like till 3 P.M., then cold rain from the N.E. Spent the day walking about, and reading indoors. Grandmother here. Mr Weld began boarding today. Wed. April 2d, 1884, A pleasant day. Lee took Grandmother down to Jim's this morning. Auntie Walker here today. Thurs. April 3, 1884. My 30th Birthday. Reed from Iowa. Hattie and Ott a handsome invalid's chair, Also flowers from Ada Webb. Spent the day at home reading and exercising. It has been a fine bright day. Fri. April 4th, 1884. Mrs Middleton here visiting. Took ride over to town in the Phaeton this afternoon. Hattie better today. Mrs Gorton made brief call. Sat. April 5th, 1884. Bright forenoon but raw wind in the East. Cloudy this afternoon and fine eve. Iowa and I to town this afternoon in the phaeton. To Hattie's. Brought Mother home. Mr Burton began boarding today. Sun. April 6th, 1884. Cloudy and rain this afternoon. Home all day. Mother over to Hatties this afternoon. Mon. April 7th, 1884. Ground covered with snow this morning. A raw gloomy day with snow falling at intervals. Housed up all day. Tues. April 8th, 1884. Cloudy and gloomy. Indoors all day.
