Sun. June 15th, 1884. A hot cloudy day; threatening rain all day. Spent forenoon reading, Chas. Russell and sister Lee too dinner with us. Afternoon reading and napping. Bacculaureate at 4 P.M. in Opera House. Took fine horseback ride before supper. The girls came up from the Valley to stay through commencement. Mon. June 16th Quite a rain this morning. Very hot this afternoon. Home reading this forenoon. At 3 P.M. hitched to the Phaeton and rode over to town with Mother, who made some purchases for supper. Took Hattie and Edith riding in the Phaeton. Home to supper. Took horseback ride after supper. A fine eve. Tuesday, June 17th Law graduation day. Weather warm but fine. Walked over to the office and spent the forenoon there. Met Mr Little, and old student. Down to Hattie's to dinner. Stayed in the office till 4 o'clock. Then rode home in Phaeton with Mother. Narrowly escaped rain storm. Rode horseback after supper. Kate Wenger and husband over this. Also Hattie and John. Wednesday. June 18th Academic graduation day. Weather intensely hot this forenoon. Rain nearly all the afternoon. A cool eve. Rode over to town in Phaeton with Iowa. Spent forenoon in office. The afternoon and evening at home. Girls went home today. Thurs. June 19th A bright hot day. Rode "Nell" over to town and spent a short time in the office. At home this afternoon doing nothing as the weather is intensely hot.Hattie over with Edith this afternoon. Tom H. Left today.
