Thurs. June 26th 1884. { [Scaur?] Fry returned ["Ret?] in bad condition. Let O. Fry have her.} Clear and cool today with fresh breeze in the N.E. Walked over to town, and spent the forenoon in office. Rode home with Lee who went up after cherries. At home this afternoon picking over cherries and reading. Evening at home reading & napping. Fri. June 27th A fine bright day. cool and pleasant. Walked over to town and spent forenoon in office. Down to Hattie's to dinner and stayed till 3 o'clock. Read in office till 5 P.M. Walked home. Bought 2 Cal. peaches for Mother & Iowa. They house cleaning today. Sat. June 28th A fine growing day, with nice breeze from S. Walked over to office, and spent forenoon on settlement of Whitemore matter. Did not succeed in quite closing it up. Home to dinner in the Phaeton. Over again and had seige with the Eaulfields Rode home at 5 P.M. and spent eve at home. Sun. June 29th A scorching hot day. At house all day reading, napping, resting and taking things easy generally. Edith over today. Mother over to Hattie's after supper. A hot close evening. Mon. June 30th Contracted "Jim" horse to Virgil Hartstock this morning for $100 cash. Ott and I rode over to town and spent forenoon in office. At home this afternoon reading and resting. Paid $10.15 for Lard Per. Tuesday July 1st 1884. Ott and I rode to the office this morning and spent the forenoon making $200 to David [Jerfing?] Home and spent the afternoon at home reading and resting. A fine evening spent at home.
