Saving...
132 1886 Monday September 20th 1886. We got an early start at the washing and done that and I washed some windows before dinner. I finished them and went to town in the afternoon. It was a splendid day. Tuesday September 21st 1886 I ironed in the forenoon and did some other work. In the afternoon Ott and I attended the funeral of young Ed Lucas who died out west and was brought here for burial. I was nearly sick with head ache when I got home. Went to bed early Wednesday September 22nd 1886 Mother went to town early and came back early with Uncle George family. We got dinner and they went home about three oclock. Just then Mr & Mrs Brindell came and later on Uncle Will Moore came to stay all night. Will came tonight. Thursday September 23rd 1886 I was busy about the work most of the forenoon. Mother went over to Hatts to take dinner with other company there. Will and I went over and rode about town all the afternoon. There was a great many people in town to see the soldiers parade. Mother went to the valley to stay all night. Friday September 24 1886 I was busy about the work all the forenoon. Sallie Tallent came just before dinner and staid all the afternoon. We watched Will and the boy break the colt. Saturday September 25 1886 I was busy about the work all morning. Mother came home in the forenoon and Hatt came with her. After dinner Will and I went to town in the buggy and down to Halsons to get some apples. It began to rain before we got home. We spent the evening pleasantly at home. Sunday September 26 1886 It was a pleasant morning. Mother went to church and stayed over to Hatts all day. I took a side with Will in the morning and talked with him on the porch all the afternoon. We went over to go to church in the evening but found there was no service so spent the evening at Hatts most pleasantly. Went to bed as soon as we got home.
