133 Monday September 27 1886 Will helped an hour this moring with the washing in the new machine he brought me from Delmar. It is a grand success. The clothes were dry so I ironed in the afternoon. Mother went to town in the afternoon. I wrote to Mary Woolf. Tuesday September 28 1886 We hurried to get our work done up as Aunt Lydia, Grandma and [McCorwine?] were expected from the valley. Mrs. Halson and Hattie were here for dinner too. I wrote a short letter to Ida The valley folks stayed all night so we had a good visit. Wednesday September 28 1886 After the folks started home this morning Mother and I did a lot of washing. In the afternoon I rode to the valley with Will to see about fixing the fence. I wrote in the evening. Thursday September 30 1886 It was a very windy day. Will went to the valley to fix fence and did not get home till five oclock. Mother was over to Hatties to visit the last day with Aunt Lydia as she started home at four oclock. I was busy about the house all day. Friday October 1st 1886 I was sewing a little today. Hatt was over for dinner and Mother went home with her. Will and I were talking together in the afternoon and Mother, him and I in the morning. Saturday October 2nd 1886 I hurried to get the work done up in the morning and went to town with Will in the phaeton. We had a nice drive around town and I stopped at Hatts to spend the day with the Robinson girls. Will came for his dinner and we walked home together at four oclock. The evening at home. Sunday October 3rd 1886 Will and I went down to Aunt Lindas and had a very pleasant visit. Will brought Aunty Walker over in the phaeton before we started and she staid all night. The Whetstone family were over in the afternoon but were starting home just as we got back. The evening we spent at home. I had a letter from Ida. The weather is warm and pleasant again.
