Saving...
Sunday October 10 1886 After late breakfast the boys went down town. We girls took a short walk. In the afternoon we all sat on the porch to talk till nearly four oclock we took a car for north hill. We stopped at the Harris House for supper and to spend the evening. It was a day pleasantly spent. Weather quite warm. Monday October 11 1886 The boys went down this morning but Will soon came back to talk with Ida and I. The boys were down most of the afternoon while Ida and I were staying quietly at home. In the evening we all went down to the Opera House to hear "Siberia" which we enjoyed very much. a beautiful night. Thursday October 12 1886 After a breakfast at half past seven Charlie came with us to the depot. Our ride home was pleasant, and we found Oscar at the depot with Charlie and phaeton. Dinner was ready when we got home. In the afternoon I put away our things and sewed on Mays dress. Mother went to the theater with Lee that we attended last night. It is five months today since Will and I were married. Friday October 13 1886 It was a rainy forenoon. Will helped me wash the white clothes and put them to soak. I sewed a little in the afternoon and wrote letters to Ida and Frank [Lawman?]. Mother was calling at Charles. Ott went west this morning. I wrote a little in the evening and read a number of pages in this book. Thursday October 14 1886 We had a bad rain this morning and it was a windy day. Will was fixing fence most of the day. I practiced a little in the forenoon. Mother was gone to town all day. I helped Will get some water out of the cellar after dinner and then moved the plants in the window. Wrote to Joan Woolf in the eve. Ott got home. Friday October 15 1886 We put the washing out by ten oclock and I went to town before noon. As soon as we ate dinner Will and I drove down to see the cattle and I finished the ironing that Mother had begun before time for supper. I mended the clothes in the evening. Weather fine.
