It was a pleasant morning and Will and I rode to the valley to salt the cattle. The Whetstone family with Aunt Mary & Minnie were here for dinner. We had roast turkey Will and I went out to Sangsters late in the afternoon for a call. The evening we spent at home, went to bed early Monday November 1st 1886. It was a fine day. We washed some this morning. Will hauled two loads of corn today. I was in town all the afternoon doing some shopping and was at Hatts awhile. I was trimming embroidery in the evening for myself. Tuesday November 2nd 1886. This was election day and Ott was at the polls all day. I ironed in the forenoon and cut out a pair of night gowns for myself in the afternoon. Mother was in town. Will was working about the place. A windy disagreeable day Wednesday November 3rd 1886. Mother and I did some baking in the morning and she went over to Mrs Carneys for dinner and did not get home till night. I was busy about the house most of the forenoon and Will was working about the place. Ott was elected Co. Superintendent by a majority of more than 1500. I cut out Wills night shirts Thursday November 4th 1886. I was going to do a big days sewing but Will offered to take me down to Aunt Ems for a visit and I went. Hatt came over to supper and John came to spend the evening. We had a very social time. I worked button holes all the evening. Weather growing more wintry
