140 Thursday November 11th 1886. I finished the aprons and did some mending Mother was in town all the afternoon and Will was to the timber for wood, he did not feel well tonight. I mended old coats in the eve. Friday November 12th 1886. I began work on Mothers dress and got considerable done. Will was to the timber again. Mother was in town all the afternoon. I worked all the evening mending pants for Will It was six months today since Will and I was married. Saturday November 13th 1886. I went to town in the phaeton with Will in the forenoon and by our going out to Sangsters before we came home we found dinner ready. Will intended going to a sale but found it was too far away. Mother was in town and he sat up stairs and talked with me, I was sewing. I trimmed May a hat in the evening. Will Moon here all night. Sunday November 14th 1886. It was a splendid day. Hatt and Robbie came over early Will hitched to the phaeton in the morning and went for a ride taking Rob and Uncle Will with him. In the afternoon Will took her and I for a long ride out south-west of town. We had such a happy ride and got home by four oclock We read up in our room in the evening. Monday November 15th 1886. It was another fine day and we washed and ironed part of the things. May went to town to stay all night and attend Clem Ashleys birthday party. Will hauled another big load of wood from the valley. I was too tired to work in the evening. Tuesday November 16th 1886. I worked all day on Mothers dress. Will was helping the men work on the side walk at the foot of the hill. Hatt came over in the afternoon and brought a letter from Father which he said he was going to California this week. Mother went to town as she did but came right back as it began to rain. I was working a little in the evening but felt too low spirited to accomplish much.
