Saving...
149 Sunday January 9th 1887. It was an intensely cold day. Will brought Hattie & the children over in the cutter and took them back again and he put in the rest of the day looking for a cow that is lost. I read and wrote a letter in the evening. Monday January 10th 1887 It was very very cold, but the boys went to the West farm for a load of hay. We washed in the forenoon and in the afternoon I ironed what was washed last week. Mother got discouraged with feeding the pigs so much and sold them to Will and I for thirty five dollars. She went to town in the afternoon to get muslin for Father some shirts. We got a letter from him and he wants Mother to come down there. Tuesday January 11th 1887. I was working about the house a great part of the day I cut out the shirts and sewed some on them. Mother and Ott went to the valley to stay all night. Hatt was over for her supper and Frank Hutchinsons with Joe Williams spent the evening here. John came over for Hattie. Weather pleasanter. Will bought a load of corn and ordered a new harness. Wednesday January 12th 1887. I was working about the house a great part of the day. I got a very little time to sew. The boys hauled two loads of hay and was late to their dinner. I worked on my edging in the evening We was all tired and went to bed early. I had a letter from Cousin Becca Lunbeck. Weather nice. It was eight months today since Will and I was married. Thursday January 13th 1887 I got a little time to sew before noon. The boys brought two loads of hay, the last there was from the west farm. Mother came from the valley, and she got the supper and I sewed all the afternoon and evening on the shirts. Friday January 14th 1887. I sewed a little more this morning, and cleaned up the upper story. We had a letter from Father with money in for Mother. I wrote to him, and she went to town. The boys went to the timber and did not get home till late. A sunny day. I finished the shirts in the evening. Will went over to town.
