Saving...
Saturday January 29th 1887 Will and the boy went to the timber, and the other boys ate dinner at Hatts. I worked about the kitchen nearly all day. Late in the afternoon I wrote letters to Mother, Charlie and Vene. I did some mending in the evening. Ott, Will, and I talked till late. Sunday January 30th 1887 It was too cold for the children to come out and the folks did not come over. I read some besides getting the meals. Ott nor Lee were neither one home to supper. I wrote to Will work in the evening. Monday January 31st 1887 It was a very cold day Will helped me wash. I did some mending in the afternoon and worked on my edging in the evening. Tuesday February 1st 1886 I got my work done up early and Will and I started to the valley We spent the day at Aunt Ems and enjoyed it very much The day was very cold and stormed as we were coming home. Wednesday February 2nd 1887 Weather a little more pleasant. I did some baking and in the afternoon worked on my edging. I took a slight cold yesterday. Thursday February 3rd 1887 It was a very cold day. I ironed some. Hatt came over in the afternoon but went back as soon as she had her supper. We had a letter from Mother and answered it. Friday February 4th 1887 Weather a little better. Will went to the timber. I finished the ironing and worked on my edging what spare time I had. Saturday February 5th 1887 I got my baking and work all down by noon and spent the afternoon in town. Will took me over in the sleigh. I was at Hatts awhile We heard from Mother and I wrote to her & Charlie. Sunday February 6th 1887 It was very slippery this morning and Will went after Hattie and the children. I was busy all the forenoon getting dinner. John came over but did not feel well. Lee went to the country in the afternoon. Will hitched the team to the big sled and took the folks home. I read all the evening in a book of Hatts that she sent over by Will.
