Saving...
157 Thursday March 10th 1887 I was busy about the work most the forenoon. I wrote to Mother in the afternoon. I then worked on my lace about four oclock I went out to get the eggs and walked down to the lot with Will the air was quite pleasant. Friday March 11th 1887 I was busy about the work and doing baking all the forenoon. May was gone to town all the afternoon. I called on Mrs Clute and Will went out to see Sangster about putting in a crop on the land he has rented of him. I had a letter from Mother and one from Ida. I worked some on my lace today. Saturday March 12th 1887 It was a very pleasant day. Will went to town with me about ten oclock. We were at Hatties for dinner and I came home about four oclock. I did a little shopping. Sunday March 13th 1887 It was a cold and windy this morning but Hatt and the children came over. We sat around and read what time we were not at meals. Ott did not come back to supper but before we went to bed, a card from Father says they are in Burlington today. Monday March 14th 1887 I was busy about the work all the forenoon. I worked some on my lace in the afternoon and evening. We heard from Charlie that the folks would be here on Wednesday. Tuesday March 15th 1887 I did some baking before noon and cleaned up all the lamps I made a fire in the parlor in the afternoon. I got the supper over early as the Teachers meeting was to be held here. We had a very pleasant evening. Wednesday March 16th 1887 I got the work done up and dinner ready by the time the folks came. Will brought them from the depot. I fixed up my room in the afternoon and Mother unpacked her trunk. Hatt came over just before supper and Will went over and John came back with him for a visit. Father and Mother are both looking and feeling well.
