Saving...
166 Monday May 9th 1887 I did a very large washing this forenoon and in the afternoon while Mother was gone to town I cleaned the porch brought in the clothes and fixed a dress for May. Hattie is thirty years old today. Weather very warm. Tuesday May 10th 1887 I ironed this forenoon and worked at an old dress for May in the afternoon. Will finished planting corn in the Sangster field and was working about here some in the afternoon. Wednesday May 11th 1887 Will and I went to the valley this morning for a little more seed corn and were home by noon. I sewed in the afternoon and Mother went to town. Old Mr Howe was here for dinner and Uncle George for supper and to stay all night. I had a letter from Father and Mary Woolf. Thursday May 12th 1887 Mother and I got the work done up early this morning as Hatt and Mrs Moore spent the day here. I sewed a little in the afternoon. It was a year today since Will and I were married, and just such a day as this. Friday May 13th 1887 Mother went down to Halsons to spend the day. I sewed on Mays dress and got it done. Will and the boy are putting in posts down in front of the lot for a new fence. Saturday May 14th 1887 I went to town early in the morning and came home noon to go to sewing. I nearly made a dress for May. We had a fine rain about five in the afternoon. Sunday May 15th 1887 Will and I went down to Birds for a visit. We met Jeff Mc__ and wife there. After leaving there, made a call at Aunt Ems. The Whetstones were here all the afternoon. I wrote a little in the evening Monday May 16th 1887 It was a pleasant day and I was working out doors nearly all day. Mother went to town in the afternoon and did not get home till after supper. We set out the tomato plants.
