169 Wednesday June 1st 1887 It was a splendid day. We washed in the forenoon and late in the afternoon Will and I took a ride out to Wood-Lawn to the social, and then drove afterward. When I came home found that Mother and May had done most of the ironing. I cannot realize that Ott was married today. Thursday June 2nd 1887 It was a splendid day. Mother and I went to town in the morning to see the Hibernian procession. Got dinner over and went over in Crowleys grove. After supper Will and I drove for a while. Hatt came over in the evening and told us all about the wedding and her visit at Em Parvins in Cedar Rapids today. Every thing passed of pleasantly yesterday. Friday June 3rd 1887 Mother and I took a ride this morning out to the west farm and over to town. After dinner I wrote to Ott as we heard from him today and went to town to get me a new hat I ate supper at Hatties, was tired and went to bed early. Saturday June 4th 1887 I swept and cleaned the house up good and did some baking in the forenoon and some mending and cleaned up the porch in the afternoon. Mother was in town till after supper. Sunday June 5th 1887 Will and I expected to go to Lisbon but it rained so we could not go. Mother went to church and The Whetstones were over till after supper. Will and I went to church in the evening Monday June 6th 1887 I was working out of doors nearly all the forenoon and sat on the porch in the afternoon. I was too tired and warm to do any work. Tuesday June 7th 1887 We washed in the forenoon. Mother went to town in the afternoon and I was sewing on her dress. Will was working about the place most of the day. Weather very warm. Wednesday June 8th 1887 Mother ironed this morning and I sewed on her dress. She went to town in the afternoon. Grand-ma came to stay all night.
