Saving...
177 Wednesday July 27th 1887 I went with Will down to Aunt Marys to spend the day I felt too tired to do any thing today Mother was invited to Mrs Sperrys to a supper party. I helped a little with the work after I came home. Thursday July 28th 1887 I was taking things out of the garret this morning to look for moths. Mrs Halson and her Mother with Hatt and Fanny were visiting here. The boys were over for dinner. I was fixing a table-cloth in the afternoon. Friday July 29th 1887 It was a fearful hot day. Mother was over to Hatts all day I walked over in the afternoon and we came home together. The men were stacking our own grain. It was late when we got our evening work done up. Lizzie washed again today. Saturday July 30th 1887 I did not do much work in the forenoon and in the afternoon Will and I drove down to Aunt Marys of an errand before going to Ediths birth-day party. She is six years old today. We had a very pleasant time and a good supper. We came home just about night. Sunday July 31st 1887 We were up early to go to the Camp meeting down at Kalona. It was a pleasant day for it, and the crowd was jolly. We met some friends and relatives from Washington Co there and just put in a full day of it, and enjoyed it very much though it was tiresome. It was eight oclock when the train reached home. I was very tired and we came directly home and went to bed. Monday August 1st 1887 I sewed a little this forenoon and did some baking. Soon as we ate our dinners Mother and I started out to ride and were gone part of the afternoon. She stayed over town till after supper Tuesday August 2nd 1887 We washed this forenoon. The girls were over and said they were going to have the social here tomorrow night. Mother was to town in the afternoon, and Will went to the valley after supper to look after the cattle. I was sick and went to bed early.
