Saving...
179 Tuesday August 9th 1887 I was sewing all forenoon on my dress and got it nearly done. Mother went over to have her dress cut and brought it back so we worked on it all the afternoon. They finished threshing before noon and Will brought the grain home. Mr Sangster had over estimated what was Wills share so he had to go back again. Wednesday August 10th 1887 I worked all forenoon to get Mothers lawn dress done. Soon after dinner her and I went to town in the buggy. We got her a new wrapper and Belle finished fixing her lawn. It was the hottest most disagreeable day I ever saw. When we came back I changed my dress and Will took me back over to Hatts as she was going to have a party for Fannys sister. I helped her about the supper. Will came after me just before night. There was a terrible storm tonight. Thursday August 11th 1887 I sewed some the first thing this morning. Mother and I drove down to Halsons to spend the day. The folks from town were there. Will came down for dinner. We had a splendid visit and Mother and I went up town before we came home. Friday August 12th 1887 We washed some this morning and got up a good dinner as the girls were coming over for the day. In the afternoon I sewed a little on Mothers dress. The girls brought Aunty Walker over and Will took her back after he came from the valley. Saturday August 13th 1887 I was at home sewing all day I finished Mothers dress and wrapper. I do not feel very well. Sunday August 14th 1887 I was reading nearly all the forenoon and Mother went to church. My stomach hurt me so that Will took me over town to the doctor in the afternoon. I doctored up and went to bed early. Monday August 15th 1887 I began to sew on a dress I am fixing for myself. Some after dinner I rode to town with Will and got my dress fit. We dried more corn today and Lizzie took up the carpet in the sitting room and put it back again. Mother was over town late in the afternoon.
