182 Friday September 2nd 1887 Mother got up and fixed breakfast for us and the boy took us to the depot, our ride to Peoria was pleasant and our wait there not tedeious as we had books to read. We started to Delavan before seven, Lizzie Duncan met us at the depot. It was late before we got to bed as Flora Culbertson was sick there. Saturday September 3rd 1887 I was at Duncans all the forenoon while Will was up town. We both went up to Venes in the afternoon for a long call. When we came down town I called at Bakers before going to Duncans. Sunday September 4th 1887 It was a very warm morning but we all went to church. I enjoyed the sermon very much. The children were all have to dinner at Duncans. The afternoon was spent talking as was the evening. Monday September 5th 1887 I was at Duncans all the forenoon and up to Venes all the afternoon. I found her busy, but she some down the street with me when I started back and we had a long talk, which ended in a very pleasant understanding. Tuesday September 6th 1887 Will and I took an early start to the country and spent the entire day with Maggie Stewart, enjoyed it very much. Wednesday September 7th 1887 Will and I were invited to Bakers to spend the day and went. It was an enjoyable day. Did not go home till bed-time I had a letter from Hatt and wrote to her. Thursday September 8th 1887 Will and I went over to see his sister this morning and I stayed till after dinner. A most pleasant visit. From there I went over to Venes and stayed till after supper. Will came for me. It was seven years today since Hatt & John were married. Friday September 9th 1887 Will and I went out to Hueston Skirts early in the forenoon. I was much disappointed in my visit because I was sick all day. We went back to Duncans about five oclock and I ate a little supper. I felt so badly that I went to bed early. It was a hot windy disagreeable day.
