Saving...
183 Saturday September 10th 1887 I felt better today and went to Mrs Cobeans for dinner. Late in the afternoon Will and I drove out to Marys for a visit We found them all torn up building. They fixed a place for us and we were very comfortable, spent the evening pleasantly. Sunday September 11th 1887 It rained a little last night and kept it up this morning We sat by the fire and talked all forenoon, it was so cool Will and I started back to town about four oclock. We stopped at the cemetery to see a new monument Mr Duncan had put on his lot. We went to church in the evening. Monday September 12th 1887 I went up to John McKinsleys in the forenoon and Will came there for his dinner In the afternoon I called at Bakers and then went over to Emma Allens for supper. Will came there and I spent all evening with Emma and her Mother. Will went to meet Mr Allen who was obliged to be away. Tuesday September 13th 1887 I called on Mrs Beecher and Mrs Taylor before noon. Went down to Duncans for dinner and wrote a letter home In the afternoon I went up to Venes for a short visit and back to Duncans for supper. I spent the evening calling on Racheal Hess. I was very tired tonight. Will has been at the fair ground. Wednesday September 14th 1887 Will and I took an early start to the fair but my forenoon was spoiled by being put on a committee. We ate dinner on the ground with friends. I spent the afternoon with Vene on the seats watching the races, rode home in hack. Thursday September 15th 1887 I was up town in morning and called on Mrs Sanford and to see Orr Baker who is sick. In the afternoon I was on the fair ground with Vene. Will and I went in the hack to Bakers to supper I spent the evening there. Orr is better this evening. It is three years tonight since my dear brother Rob died. Friday September 16th 1887 Will and I went to the fair and up to Venes to dinner. I was on the grounds with her all afternoon, rode up town in hack and walked down to Duncans for supper. I spent the evening packing the trunk.
