188 Tuesday October 18th 1887 I was busy sewing all day. Lizzie did the ironing and Mother went over to Moores for dinner. Will was husking corn all day. Wednesday October 19th 1887 I was sewing all day for Mother she went over to the church for dinner and was gone all the afternoon. Will is husking corn. Thursday October 20th 1887 I went to town early this morning to order groceries and was at Hatts awhile. I sewed for Mother all day. Will hired a man today to help him with his corn. Weather considerably colder. Friday October 21st 1887 I went to town early this morning and got me a new hat and cloak. I put in all day sewing for myself and Mother. The men were hauling corn all day. Will went to town in the evening. Saturday October 22nd 1887 It was so rainy that the men could not do much at the corn. I was sewing what spare time I had. Mother was in town in the afternoon. I was going over in the evening but it was too rainy. Sunday October 23rd 1887 I was busy most of the forenoon getting the dinner as we had roast turkey The folks were all over for dinner. I wrote to Lizzie Duncan and Vene in the evening. Monday October 24th 1887. I helped do the washing in the forenoon and went to town in the afternoon. I was at Hatts awhile. I worked on my lace in the evening. Tuesday October 25th 1887. I was working on the rags all forenoon and in the afternoon Mother and I went down to see Mollie Robinson but as we did not find her at home spent a couple of hours at Sperrys. I began some woolen lace for a skirt. Wednesday October 26th 1887 I was busy with the house work nearly all day. Mother was over to Hatties for dinner. I worked a little on my lace. Thursday October 27th 1887 I began to fix a dress for May in the forenoon. As soon as we ate our dinners Mother and I went to town to get presents for Minnie McCallisters wedding next week. We were at Hatts a few moments she was going to the valley. I sewed a little in the evening.
