Saving...
189 Friday October 28th 1887 I was busy about the house all the forenoon. Mr Browns Mother and Aunt were here for dinner and to spend the afternoon. I was working on my lace what spare time I had. Weather pleasant. Saturday October 29th 1887 I tried to get Mays dress done but did not quite finish it before I went to town late in the afternoon. I staid to supper with Fanny and Will came after me before bed-time. We were greatly startled just before supper to have Willie Brenner come in with the word that his arm had been broken an hour before playing foot-ball. Will and his man have put in a full week in the corn field. We got word Charlies folks come Tuesday. Sunday October 30th 1887 Will and I went down to John McCallisters for the day. We had a very pleasant day. The Whetstones were down to Stevens. In the evening I wrote some and a letter to Mary Woolf. Monday October 31st 1887 We were up early for the man to go to the field, us girls washed in the forenoon and put up a stove in the parlor bed-room, in the afternoon Mother went to town to get groceries and we cleaned the garret. I worked in the evening on lace for my skirt. Tuesday November 1st 1887 It was a pleasant day. Mother went to town in the morning. I was busy about the work all forenoon while Lizzie ironed I worked in the afternoon and evening on lace for my skirt. Wednesday November 2nd 1887 It was a beautiful day. I finished a dress for May in the morning and made some citron preserves. Mother Will and I had early dinner and started at half past twelve to Minnies wedding. It was a very pleasant affair. Minnie was dressed in gray silk and Mollie Stevens who stood up with her wore green silk and velvet. The dinner was very nice. Will and I came home at five and Mother later with the rest of the folks. Thursday November 3rd 1887 Mother went to the valley today with Fanny. I worked on my lace part of the forenoon. Was over to Hatts all the afternoon. I came home feeling badly. Mother got here before supper.
