Saving...
192 Thursday November 17th 1887 I made some lard out of meat I got yesterday and Lizzie and I did quite a large washing before noon. I put in all the afternoon doing some mending. The boys are hauling corn. Friday November 18th 1887 I helped Lizzie do up the work and about ten oclock I went over to Hatties to see Mrs Brenner before she started home. Willie went with her for a weeks visit. Hatt and I had quite a talk about what is to be done in the future. I did not come home till late in the afternoon. Weather cloudy and threatening. Saturday November 19th 1887 It was a fearful cold windy day. The men could not go to the valley for loads. They put in the storm sash and Will went to town in the afternoon. I did some mending in the forenoon and in the afternoon worked on my mat that I began yesterday. Will stayed at home in the evening and we talked. Sunday November 20th 1887 I was busy about the house all the forenoon in the afternoon I talked with Will awhile and wrote a letter to Mary Woolf besides doing other visiting. I read in the evening. It was three years today since Charlie and Ida were married. Monday November 21st 1887 It was a pleasant day and we did a large washing. I cleaned up my room good in the afternoon and did some mending. Will went over town a little while in the evening. I read while he was away and we went to bed early as I was tired. Tuesday November 22nd 1887 I did the work all the forenoon and Lizzie got all the ironing done. At noon Mother came and brought Ida, the baby and the hired girl home with her. After dinner Will and I went down to Uncle Jims to get some meat and stopped in town for some things on our way home. The girls were over in the afternoon. Wednesday November 23rd 1887 The folks went over to Hatties to spend the day. I baked cake and did some other work in the forenoon. Will took me over to spend the afternoon with the folks and came after me. The evening was spent at home.
