The folks started back to Burlington on the afternoon train. The rest of them went home before night. Will went over town awhile and Mother and I worked a little. Friday November 25th 1887 I went to town early this morning to get material to fix Mothers cloak I sewed at it all day and in the evening I worked on my mat. I wrote a letter to Father today about Mother going down there. Saturday November 26th 1887 I finished Mothers cloak by working hard all the forenoon and in the afternoon Mother and I went to town to get May a cloak, she got one for herself too. It was a drizzling evening as we came home. Willie Bremner came tonight. Sunday November 27th 1887 It snowed and turned cold last night. I was at home all day. I worked on my books some in the forenoon and in the afternoon read some, and talked to Mother about what we are to do next year. I read in Little Dorrit all evening. Monday November 28th 1887 We did the washing this forenoon and I went to town in the buggy with Will to get some meat and things for mince pies he went to the valley in the afternoon and brought the last load of corn. I worked all afternoon at Mothers dress I am fixing. Tuesday November 29th 1887 I was sewing all the forenoon and soon as we ate dinner Will and I went to the valley. First to Lizzies to see about getting some grinding done and then on down to John McCallisters. We came back to Aunt Ems to stay till nearly bed-time. Wednesday November 30th 1887 I did a little sewing in the forenoon and went to town early in the afternoon. I looked for an over-coat for Will.
