196 Tuesday December 13th 1887 I was busy about the house-work all the forenoon. As soon as I ate my dinner I dressed and went to town I had my teeth fixed and did a little shopping. I then went down to Hatties. Will came over to supper Minnie & Mr Showers was there. We had a jolly game of cards in the evening. Will and I came around past Homes to get a picture I got with my bill. Wednesday December 14th 1887 I went to town this morning to change my overshoes I got yesterday. I had a card from Mother. I was down to Hatts a little while. I was doing some sewing for myself in the afternoon. Will put in the posts for the chicken yard fence. Thursday December 15th 1887 Lizzie did the ironing this forenoon. I dressed a couple of chickens to make pressed chicken and boiled corn for hominy. I was busy about the work all day I sewed a little in the evening. Will was down town in the evening Friday December 16th 1887 We washed again this morning. Will took nine of the turkeys to town this morning they weighed 155 lbs and came to $8.50. He took me over in the afternoon in the buggy I was at Hatties a little while. Weather very good for winter time Saturday December 17th 1887 Lizzie went home for a two weeks visit today I let May got to town and so I was most of the day doing the house work. I wrote to Mother and Charlie in the afternoon. Will was working at the chicken yard fence all day and went to town in the evening. Sunday December 18th 1887 I was busy about the house work all forenoon. Ott & Fanny were over to dinner. We visited all afternoon and I wrote and read in the evening. A letter from Mother today. Monday December 19th 1887 I was busy about the work most of the day. I ironed some in the afternoon. May went to school. I sewed some in the evening. Weather gloomy and threatening rain The boys finished the chicken yard this afternoon.
