Saving...
199 Wednesday January 4th 1888 It was very much warmer today. Fanny brought Aunty over to spend the day. Will and I were riding about town part of the afternoon and then he took her home. Lizzie was here today to pack up her trunk she is going to stay in town. Thursday January 5th 1888 It looked like rain this morning but Fanny came and took Father and Mother to town to spend the day. I was busy about the work all day. The boys both came back last night. Will brought another load from the valley and that is four he has hauled this week. Friday January 6th 1888 We were busy about the work all the forenoon. In the afternoon we washed with Albert to help us Will took a hog over to have it dressed and brought it back before supper time. I was tired and went to bed early. Saturday January 7th 1888 We were busy about the house work most of the day Will cut up the hog for us and put it in the cellar May was over town all day. I did a little mending in the afternoon. In the evening Will and I drove over in the big sleigh for the rest of the folks and we all went down to Uncle Jims to an oyster supper because Minnie and her husband were there. We had a splendid time. Sunday January 8th 1888 It was a very cold day. I felt the worse for being up late last night. I helped with the work and read a little John & Hatt were over a little while in the afternoon I read a little and wrote to Mary Woolf in the evening. Monday January 9th 1888 We worked with the meat most of the day Will went to the valley for wood and in the afternoon took me to town. Tuesday January 10th 1887 Mother finished the meat and I ironed. We were busy about the work all day long. Weather cold but Will went after another load of wood today. I was too tired to do much of any thing in the evening.
